Do it Yourself Hair Tips

With  economy  not yet out of  reverse and lot of talk of no money, people are looking for ways everyday to cut back on their spending. One way to cut back is to do things for yourself instead of paying somebody to do it for you. Two of the things that I  have learned to do for my self is relaxing and shampooing or washing my hair. Shampooing  and relaxing your own hair is a great way to cut back on the amount of money that you spend without cutting down on your beautiful look.

Relaxing your own hair is not very hard to do. All you need is a mirror and  your relaxer kit. Many of the kits like Vitale and Smooth Organics come with step by step instructions on how to prepare and  apply the relaxer from start to finish. In addition, the kit contains gloves so that you do not have to worry about messing your fingernails. If you are not comfortable doing it yourself then ask a friend to do it for you. I usually do mine standing in front of the bathroom mirror.

After relaxing, washing or shampooing the hair is easy especially since the shampoo that comes in the kit is colour coded to show when the relaxer is rinsed completely out of the hair. In washing the hair, just remember to massage the scalp, this helps with the circulation.

After a few tries you will definitely get the hang of it. After shampooing I usually moisturize my hair  and then wrap them till they are dry.  So if you are looking to save a few dollars start by washing and relaxing your own hair. If you must then go to the hairdresser to have your hair styled. You will be amazed at the amount of money that you save.
